Examines pietra dura landscape panels on a rosewood cabinet and a sculpture pedestal, produced in Prague in the early 17th c., probably by the Castrucci workshop (Dresden, Grünes Gewölbe). Notes related examples, and discusses Hapsburg imperial taste for pietra dura decoration, especially during the reign of Rudolf II.
