The attribution of the staircase of Palazzo Bonagia, Palermo, to Andrea Giganti is modified by unpublished documents indicating contact between Giganti and his patron, the duca di Castel di Mirto, 20 years later than the presumed date of the staircase. That the staircase might date from ca.1770 would accord better with Giganti's role in the transition from Baroque and Rococo to Neoclassicism. (Antichità viva)
