Abstract
(en)
Focuses on Dalí's engagement with myth, legend and religion. The selection of works reveals the influence of Sigmund Freud on Dalí in his appropriation of certain age-old symbolic narratives and fables, their embellishment and adaptation in order to enrich the account of his own life. The paintings and drawings which have been selected date mainly from the 1930s. However, certain works of a later date demonstrate the consistency of his interest in mythological subjects.
