The author outlines 20th-c. artistic interest in the fourth dimension and non-Euclidean geometry. Starting with the first three decades of the 20th c., she discusses the art movements and artists - such as Kandinsky, Breton, El Lissitzky, Picabia, Duchamp, Malevich, Mondrian, Eisenstein, Moholy-Nagy, Pereira, and Dalí - who were inspired by these new geometries.
