Discusses Salvador Dalí's relation to Catholicism, examining his beliefs in the context of his non-religious upbringing, his political stances, and his use of obscene imagery in many of his paintings. Also analyzes his incorporation of religious motifs in his paintings of the 1950s. Questions the conclusion drawn by many biographers that Dalí wholeheartedly converted to Catholicism in his later life.
