Abstract (en)

Traces the critical history of the painting Supper at Emmaus (Sorrento, Museo Correale di Terranova), formerly attributed to Alonzo Rodriguez. Observes the influence of Massimo Stanzione on the painting, and attributes it to Giuseppe Marullo, comparing it with signed works by the latter artist (who was a close follower of Stanzione), and dating it ca.1640.
