Examines two plaquettes representing a Sacrifice to Cupid and a Sacrifice to Priapus, the latter in the form of a cover for a classicizing oil lamp (Victoria and Albert Museum, London). Both exist in several versions and are by a single hand. Rejects Bode's attribution to Riccio, and finds correspondences with the work of Cristoforo di Geremia. Explores the significance of the inscriptions and the lamp.
