Studies an engraving by Coello in the Biblioteca Nacional, Madrid: the frontispiece of the booklet, Constituciones de la Congregacion del Santo Christo del Desamparo..., 1682; focuses on its model, the sculpture of the Christ of the Abandonment by Alonso de Mena (S. José, Madrid), and on its iconography as a Counter-Reformation defense of the sacrament of the Eucharist.
