Letter to the editor expresses disagreement with Eric Gibson's negative views on recorded tours of museum collections (particularly the AT& T Portfolio Tours at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY), as expounded in his article in this journal, "Talk shows at the Met" (Nov 1987). Eric Gibson replies.
