Artist Hans Haacke reflects on the aims of the Styrian Autumn Festival's public art exhibition in Graz (fall 1988), Points of reference 38/88, which featured works commissioned for 14 designated sites in Graz that had played a significant role in the Nazi regime. Describes his own contribution to the exhibition, Und ihr habt doch gesiegt, a memorial to the victims of the Nazis in Styria, which was firebombed at the instigation of a well-known Nazi.
