Floor mosaic of ca.1039-1045 in the church of S. Maria on the Tremeti Island of San Nicola. Discusses it as the finest and best-preserved example of the Adriatic region's renewed interest in color and design, probably stimulated by the introduction of Byzantine designs and techniques.
