Presents a Bird and a Snake drawn on the intonaco of the 9th c. ciborium in S. Ambrogio, Milan; identifies it as Carolingian; also recalls the relic of Moses's brazen serpent installed in S. Ambrogio by archbishop Arnolfo II in 1002.
