Psychoanalytic interpretation of this 1916 picture (Claudio Sakraischik Bruni collection) and of The Jewish Angel (Gelman collection) which De Chirico painted that same year. Relates these two works to the artist's early fixations upon close family relationships and his subsequent experience of reduced psychological freedom of movement.
