Compares the view of Jerusalem in the Housebook Master's Lamentation (Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Dresden) with other views of the city in 15th c. painting, manuscript illumination and maps. Concludes that the Housebook Master's depiction is part of a Nuremberg tradition of representing the whole of the city of Jerusalem which dates from the third quarter of the century; and that the Housebook Master and Erhard Reuwich are one and the same.
