Argues that the stars shown in the sky of Grünewald's Isenheim Resurrection (Musée d'Unterlinden, Colmar) represent an astronomically correct arrangement. Discusses the painting within the context of 16th c. stellar maps, the liturgy, and Dante's Divina commedia.
