Offers a new interpretation of the interior architectural decoration of the Venetian church, relating the 1714-1729 work of Giuseppe Pozzo, Louis Dorigny and Giuseppe Torretti to the ceremonial outfittings and temporary scenographic designs (17th-18th cs.) used by the Jesuits in their Eucharistic devotions for the Orazione delle Quarant'Ore (Forty Hours' Devotion) at the church of the Gesù in Rome.
