Recalls the political context and comments on the significance of the first Surrealist exhibition, put on by the Grupo Surrealista de Lisboa in January 1949, in a rented space at 25 Travessa da Trindade, Lisbon; reproduces pages of the catalogue with texts by the participants (painters and writers), and reprints reviews from various newspapers.
