On his early period, from his participation under Vasari in the fresco decoration of Palazzo Vecchio, Florence, to the Adoration of the Magi of 1567 in S. Lorenzo; presents new documentary evidence, discusses works in various media, proposes attributions, and clarifies his relationship to Vasari.
