Abstract (en)

On the architectural history of the cathedral of Kalmar, begun in 1653 by the Swedish architect, Nicodemus Tessin the elder. Its design shows influence from Tessin's studies in Italy, especially impressions from the architects Girolamo Rainaldi and Carlo Rainaldi. The Baroque altar, installed in 1712, was designed by Nicodemus Tessin the younger.
