Abstract (en)
On an unpublished manuscript text illustrated with corresponding Latin emblems cut from a French 1583 edition of Alciato (MS fr.19143, Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris). Concentrates on Bouquet's "imitations", studying the ways he builds on Alciato's emblems and changes them to express personal or topical concerns that were often quite different from those of his model.
