Early 19th c. silks from the collections of the Mobilier National, Paris, originally made in Lyon to adorn palaces captured by Napoleon. Catalogue essays on the interior decoration of the Palazzo Pitti, Florence, during the Napoleonic period (1807-1814) and on the silks commissioned for the imperial palaces of Florence (Palazzo Pitti and others) and Rome (Palazzo del Quirinale).
