Abstract (en)

Finds at Lough Kinale (1986) included the remains of an 8th c. wooden casket or book shrine covered with metal plates bearing elaborate designs in the 'Ultimate' La Tène style, the earliest and largest Irish book shrine of the Early Medieval Period.
