Discusses especially a miniature of S. John on the Island of Patmos in Trubert's Waddesdon Book of Hours and relates it to illuminations given to the so-called René Master (generally identified with Barthélemy Deick). Considers the nature of the relationship between the two artists via their common patron, René I of Anjou.
