Discusses works by Alfred and Winifred Turner shown at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 21 June-2 Oct 1988. Discusses also the two-part exhibition Stoneworks at the Davies Memorial Gallery, Newtown (2 Apr-31 Oct 1988) and at Powis Castle (10 Aug-17 Sept 1988), a survey of 20th c. stone carving in Britain, which included works by Epstein, Eric Gill and John Maine.
