Considers a series of 15 broad-manner Florentine engravings which are generally attributed to Francesco Rosselli. Demonstrates that the prints represent the 15 Mysteries of the Rosary. Notes that the reduction of the mysteries from 150 to 15 dates from the 1480s, and that confraternities of the Rosary did not reach Italy until the same decade. On these iconographic and historic grounds, dates the first state of Rosselli's series to the mid or late 1480s, rather than to the early 1470s as previous scholars have suggested.
