Abstract (en)
Identifies the dismembered polyptych by Simone Martini divided among the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge (three Saints), the Wallraf-Richartz Museum, Cologne (Madonna and Child), and a private collection (S. Catherine) as the work that according to Vasari Simone executed for S. Agostino, San Gimignano; and presents a reconstruction. Also discusses a fragment of an altarpiece with a group of Saints (private collection) and tentatively attributes it to Donato Martini.
