Abstract (en)

Corrects the traditional but erroneous attribution of S. Chiara a Monte Cavallo, Rome, 1574-1585 (destroyed late 19th c.), to Giacomo della Porta. The new attribution, based on documentary evidence which indicates how the error came into the modern literature, is also crucial for the attribution to Annibale Lippi of the Villa Medici in Rome.
