Abstract (en)

Exhibition of Kenneth Macleay's series of watercolor portraits of representatives of the principal Highland clans, each in full tartan dress. The watercolors, done in the 1860s, are in the Royal Collection; they were published as chromolithographs in 1870 as The Highlanders of Scotland.
