Describes programs devised in the last 20 years to maintain the fiscal viability of the Castle Ashby estate. In addition to income from agriculture, the owner receives monies from letting the house and grounds for conferences, exhibitions and wedding receptions. Discusses conservation needs of the house (built 1574-1640) and grounds.
