Abstract
(en)
The display of paintings, drawings and photographs, mostly 20th c., with some 17th-19th c. works, breaks with habitual forms of public presentation of art by marginalising the information that customarily accompanies works of art (artist's name, title of work, date) and by juxtaposing texts from Baudelaire's Fleurs du Mal. Catalogue essay critiques modernism as a way of understanding art.
