Refers to Philip Whittemore's article on a lost brass plate commemorating the Gunpowder Plot, and the engraving by Samuell Ward (Transactions of the Monumental Brass Society 1985, 13, no.6 p.549-551). Corrects errors of fact concerning Ward and his print, and suggests Richard Haydocke may have engraved the brass.
