Publishes papers based on examinations and theses from the department of architectural restoration at the University of Florence, 1980-87, on polychromy in Medieval Italian churches, principally in Tuscany, including the following: SS. Apostoli, the Baptistery, S. Salvatore al Vescovo, S. Jacopo sopr'Arno, and S. Maria Novella in Florence; the Campanile and cloister of the cathedral of S. Stefano in Prato; and churches in Lucca and Sardinia. Finally, includes an essay by Francesco Gurrieri on the green marble of Prato in architectural polychromy.
