Inspired by a recent exhibition of works by Veronese and other 16th c. artists active in Verona, held at the Museo di Castelvecchio, Verona, this article argues that Veronese's oeuvre can be seen as largely a modification of the style of Titian. Notes, however, that Tintoretto had the most crucial influence on Veronese's compositions.
