Reconstructs and analyzes the criteria governing the original installation of the collections of Cassiano and Carlo Antonio dal Pozzo of paintings, ancient sculpture and coins as well as scientific material and curiosities, in their palace at 6 via dei Chiavari, Rome; evidence includes inventories of 1689 and 1695, as well as material from the recently discovered Dal Pozzo family archive. [Appendix with transcription of the 1689 inventory of Carlo Antonio's estate].
