Abstract
(en)
Offers an interpretation of a series of 11 large designs which includes an elephant, Adam, a nimbed male head, a chess game, Romulus and Remus, and an ape riding a bear. Argues that this unusual imagery alludes to specific international events related to the jubilee year declared by Pope Boniface VIII in 1300.
