Abstract (en)

Identifies the source of the frescoes in S. Stefano, Fratta (Friuli-Venezia Giulia), as a series of early 15th c. woodcuts attributed to Cristoforo Cortese, known from two extant German block books. Dates the frescoes to between 1450 and 1475, based on the probable time of diffusion of the woodcuts to Friuli.
