Abstract (en)

Suggests a date of ca.1590 (instead of early 17th c.) for the fresco decorations, attributed to Bernardo Castello and drawn from Tasso's Gerusalemme liberata, in the Palazzo imperiale, Genoa. Also discusses Castello's relationship with the architect of the palace, Giovanni Battista Castello (il Bergamasco).
