Abstract (en)

Supports a 15th c. date, rather than the traditional 13th c. date, for the Veneto-Cretan icon known as the Madonna della Salve, S. Maria dei Servi, Bologna, and discusses the iconography of the Madonna Glycophilousa. Suggests that the icon was imported directly from Greece rather than produced by a Bolognese imitator.
