Abstract (en)

Re-examination of documentary evidence for Elizabeth I's visit to Norwich in August 1578, suggests that coats of arms on the wall of the cathedral cloister commemorate some of the attendant nobility and not a royal dinner in the cathedral as hitherto proposed.
