Describes Vladimir Khlebnikov's dramatic piece Zangezi, in light of a recent production in New York. Presents a conversation with Rem Koolhaas about Russian architecture, 1920s-1930s, especially architect Ivan Leonidov and his unbuilt 1933 design for the Ministry of Heavy Industry complex in Moscow.
