Discusses the works of Marco Mazzucconi, Luigi Carboni, Augusto Brunetti and Stefano Arienti as representative of current Italian art, which is characterized by a romanticized notion of the loss of the authority and drama of artistic expression coupled with a nihilistic perception of the present state of art and communication.
