On two exhibitions concerned with the French Revolution: one at the British Museum, showing late 18th c. to Victorian paintings and prints, wax images from Madame Tussaud's (London), and other objects illustrating the French Revolution and the British response to it; the other at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, showing prints and drawings from the Musée Carnavalet, Paris, together with watercolors and objects from local collections, especially material involving the guillotine and its context.
