Abstract (en)

Studies the Polish painter's life and work, his relationship to contemporary Polish art, and his religious experience and views. Focuses on his religious paintings--modern Byzantine icons--and his interpretation of the role of the Eastern Orthodox Church. Examples discussed include his mural paintings in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Tychy.
