Presents and analyzes evidence from a group of topographical drawings and maps by Francesco Martinelli (Archivio di Stato di Bologna) concerning the following buildings along the road to Tuscany: S. Maria di Camaldoli and Palazzo Marescotti (both destroyed) on the outskirts of Bologna; the mill and inn at Rastignano (also destroyed); and the monastery of S. Bartolomeo in Musiano.
