Identifies a silver-gilt ornament of Insular origin from a Viking age burial in Norway as the pin-head of a ring brooch of pseudo-penannular form. Dates the pin-head to the 8th or 9th c., and discusses its decoration and typology in relation to Insular metalwork and its iconography in the context of Early Christian art.
