Argues that Zuccari's large painted cartoon, the Porta Virtutis (lost), was, as charged in the libel suit, a direct attack on Bolognese artists whose criticism had caused Paolo Ghiselli to reject Zuccari's altarpiece for the Ghiselli chapel in S. Maria del Baraccano, Bologna.
