Argues that Baudrillard, in his theory of simulation, abandons criticality and problematizes the notion of critical resistance. Demonstrates here the possibility of resistance to simulation and investigates the role of an ethical stance, focusing on the work of four artists: Jim Starrett (paintings), Dan Graham (video), and Newton and Helen Harrison (installation works).
