Abstract (en)
Discusses Hopkins's interest in cartography, including his own maps and landscape sketches, and uses mapping as a metaphor for discussing his journals and poetry. Concludes that mapping "mediates between Hopkins' immanent perception and transcendent vision," and that "the map serves as a figure in which abstraction and particularity can come and settle together."
