Discusses the history and philosophy ca.1903-1920 of the Gödöllő artists' colony, including its relation to the ideas of William Morris and to the Arts and Crafts movement. Presents examples of the applied arts--especially weaving--and architecture produced there, and considers the influence of Hungarian folk art.
