Discusses Nikolaus Pevsner's 1937 An Enquiry into Industrial Art in England which began as a research project under economist P. Sargant Florence. Argues that in constructing social and ethical dimensions to design and industry, Pevsner's text reflects Sargant's work in the 1930s.
